PayPal Credit Cards and Address Confirmation?

Hello-

I%26#039;m new to Paypal and Ebay. I%26#039;m trying to use the %26quot;Buy Now%26quot; option to purchase a cell phone. I%26#039;ve confirmed my bank account and a credit card with Paypal.

Whenever I click on Buy Now, I get sent to the Paypal website to confirm my purchase and etc. Paypal tells me that I need to add a credit card to my account to confirm my address before I can purchase the item. But I already have my credit card added to my PayPal account and everything is already confirmed!! I%26#039;ve tried re-entering the credit card%26#039;s information to re-confirm, but Paypal tells me that this credit card is already registered and I%26#039;m at a dead end.

Please, can anyone help me out here? I%26#039;m very frustrated, I%26#039;ve already lost 4 cell phone bids because of this problem, and I have no idea what I can possibly do to remedy this. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, best thing to do would be to call Paypal tomorrow and see if they can straighten up what went wrong. You may have pressed the register button twice or something with your credit card and that is why it won%26#039;t work now. Good luck, the cell phones will still be there on ebay.

when you first set up your paypal account, paypal will send you a low amount of money to whatever credit card or bank you are using. Have you already received this dollar amount on your card? after you do receive this amount you are to log into your paypal account and type in the amount they send to you. after you have done this, you shouldn%26#039;t have a problem using paypal. you may want to log on to paypal and see if there is a chat service or phone service to call a rep. from paypal and I am sure they could look your information up and help you from there.

i think paypal has a system of verifying that you own the credit card or bank account by depositing some money in your bank account, and ask you to enter how much money it was.

i think for credit cards they ask some other form of verification. find out what that is

best bet is use another credit card, or just add a bank account to your paypal account (takes like a week), add funds into your paypal account (another 3-4 days) and then pay directly from your paypal funds.

and then from there, for future, always have some money in paypal account so you don%26#039;t have to wait for bank to transfer money into your paypal account.

I believe the issue here is not your credit card but your address. eBay sellers often require that the buyer has a %26quot;confirmed address%26quot;. Login to your PayPal account, click on Profile sub-tab and then in the left column click on %26quot;Street Address%26quot;. You%26#039;ll get to a page were your address is listed. This is (probably) the address you provided when you first signed up for a PayPal account. Check if in the Status column this address is marked %26quot;Confirmed%26quot;. If not that probably means this address is somehow different from the billing address on the credit card.
