Loans or credit cards for people with NO CREDIT?

My fiance cannot get a loan or credit card because he has no credit. It%26#039;s not bad credit, just no credit. We want to build his credit so we can buy a house in the next year. He tried getting a secured credit card, but his name is in the chex systems, which we%26#039;re still not sure why. We don%26#039;t want to pay any annual fees, or a monthly fees. I don%26#039;t care about interest rates because we will pay the credit card off each month. Does anyone know of anything we could do?

The easiest thing for him to do is if you have good credit or know any close friends ot family members with good credit, to see if your fiance%26#039; could be added to a couple of credit cards that are in excellent standing as an authorized user. An additional card wouldn%26#039;t be necessary, as this would be for reporting purposes only. That way any activity and payment history would show on his report and give him an instant credit history. As for the cell phones, you can have those payments reported as credit as well. PRBC is a credit bureau that reports non traditional monthly payments like rent, utlities, cell phone, etc, and scores it in a report that can be used in conjunction with you traditional credit reports. This is useful if you%26#039;re going to apply for a home loan. I%26#039;ve supplied the link to the website where it can explain it far better than I ever could!!!!

Well my first credit card was best buy so try there. usually with any kind of purchase you can get 6 months no interest. Or try getting a cell phone.

you have to pay the annual fees and monthly fees. that%26#039;s the price you pay for being so ignorant to not establish credit. he had plenty of chances for no monthly/annual fee cards but he turned them down. so now he has to play by their rules...

You can get a credit card and have him be an authorized user. This is what I did with my husband who had no credit. Eventually after %26quot;piggy-backing%26quot; on my credit, he got some good credit of his own and was able to get a card in his own name. That would be your best bet.

I free consumer site at http://www.bad-credit-credit-card-for-pe... has information and advice on restoring your credit rating. It also contains a list of credit card companies that issue credit to people with bad to no credit rating.

PRBC was mentioned above, but I wanted to add on because it really could help you and your fiance. PRBC is a national credit bureau - similar to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. However, PRBC offers some major differences - the most important is that you can build a credit file using non-debt payments you%26#039;ve made (i.e., rent, phone, cable, electric, daycare, utilities, insurance, etc.) These types of bill payments aren%26#039;t reported to the other bureaus unless your payments are late or missed!

Other differences:

1) Anyone can choose to sign themselves up. You don%26#039;t have %26quot;have credit to get credit.%26quot;

2) You can self-report your own payments.

3) You can look at your file any time you want, and as much as you want - for free.

Take a look at this page - http://prbc.com/consumers/how/mortgage.p... It describes how you can build a credit file and use it to get a mortgage. 12 months of on-time payments for rent and 3 other bills (barring negative credit from the other bureaus) should put you in very good shape to qualify for a good mortgage. The longer history of on-time payments, the better your file will look to lenders.

Read the %26quot;From our customers%26quot; on the right side. I can verify it%26#039;s real because I spoke to that customer myself! I work for PRBC and I%26#039;d be happy to answer any questions you may have - feel free to email me.

Best of luck,

Keith

P.S. Just to be sure no one gets the wrong impression, PRBC does not %26quot;fix%26quot; bad credit with the other bureaus. We offer a new way to build credit using on-time payments that aren%26#039;t reported to the other bureaus. If you have no credit, I highly suggest you check us out. There are so many scams in the credit world, it%26#039;s hard to know what to believe. I%26#039;m happy to answer your questions, so email at any time.
