Kevin is correct. Stay away from credit cards and debt. They make all the rules and can change the rules in the middle of the game.

Don%26#039;t obsess with the I love debt score. And that is exactly what it is. You have to borrow money and make payments on time to get a high score. you have to KEEP borrowing money and KEEP making payments on time to KEEP a high score.

All you get for your trouble is debt.

Pay as you go and live on less than you make and you will have money.

Of course the bankers and their loyal followers are gonna tell you different.

Opening a lof of new accounts in a short period of time lowers your credit score. You do not need 3 cards. Pick the one with the best terms and cancel the other 2. Use the one responsibly. Ideally you will pay off the balance every month.

Don%26#039;t cancel anything. Yes this will lower your score to apply for allot of credit cards at once. Should be very min um. If your doing this to build credit try to keep your balance under 20% of your limit

Don%26#039;t listen to any of these people. If you have applied for 4 credit cards within 2 weeks, than you obviously don%26#039;t know enough about the way credit works. Do not take this to offense, but you should cancel every card. If you don%26#039;t I predict that come March you will start getting behind on your bills. You will be in debt up to your eyeballs, and you will be looking for ways to get out of debt and ruin your credit in the process. Credit cards take an extreme amount of discipline to use properly. Stay out of debt by not getting into debt!

YES, applying few credit cards in same short period of time effect your credit score negatively. I hope you are not planning to max out all your three credit card. Use them wisely and do NOT go over 30% of each credit line, and do pay on time. It would be the best if you don%26#039;t have balances on them at all. BTW, STOP applying for any more credit cards or any loans. Do order a credit report to find out your credit score, and try to get a even higher score up to 750 and above. Good luck!
