People get in such messes by misusing credit cards. I try to keep my balances paid off but still worry about having credit cards.

I use them for on-line purchases only. When it%26#039;s asked if I want the number remembered for future purchases, I always check the no block. I pay the balance each month. And I never carry my cards with me.

went over limit one year on Christmas and took 3 years to pay it off. late charges, interest, over limit, etc etc then interest went from 8% to 21%. last year used a credit card 1999

The only one that I have is the debit card through my bank. I will never ever own another credit card again. I cut the ones up that I had a long long time ago.

I have 2 because I have the need to rent cars (one only for that) and the other is stored for an emergency. Paying them off in totality if/when you get the bill is the only way to have them and keep sane.

I use a credit card for every spend I do, but I settle at the end of each month. It楹搒 just another way for me to manage my finances better. Leaving a balance makes the items you bought more expensive in real terms. Why shop around for bargains and then pay interest on your credit card. It just doesn楹搕 make sense.
