Can Interpol catch me in Peru if I do not pay my credit cards in US?

I can%26#039;t pay my credit cards. I%26#039;m living in New york 8 years ago and now I%26#039;m coming back to my country forever. Could INTERPOL search me in my country to be deported to USA?

Can Interpol catch me in Peru if I do not pay my credit cards in US?

Find out about the Statute of Limitations that applies to banks who fail to collect unpaid credit card dues. All credit cards are insured and should you vanish, the bank will claim money from its insurers.

The Interpol is too busy with bigger problems such as combatting global terrorism, money laundering, drugs trafficking, organized international gangs engaged in illegal immigration, fake currencies...the list is endless. An unpaid debt of a few thousand $ will never be sent to Interpol.

However, the bank can prefer charges against you in any court in Peru, through the US embassy or consulate or a local lawyer, if the amount you owe is very high and justifies such an expense.

However, I strongly suggest you pay it because a bad report, especially on finances and money, always follows defaulters and can seriously affect your employment chances in Peru or anywhere in the world. Your future employers might ask for references from the past and your unpaid debts could find mention in their reports.

I doubt that the US is going to expend any effort to extridiate you. It is possible that your bad credit report may follow you to Peru. You may find this out when you apply for a loan in your native country.

No. Peruvian legislation doesn%26#039;t include prison for debts.
