Off to Spain for two weeks in April and France in July / Aug too. All Euro Zone, but may nip to Gib and Switzerland.
Tired of my bank {best not say the name - don%26#039;t want to give them any eXtra advertising, charging me every time I use my card abroad, 鎷?.50 per cash withdrawl from my current account and 鎷?.50 for each purchase - goods, meals etc, plus pretty naff exchange rates too.
Credit cards of course much better.
So wot%26#039;s the best way to spend money in Europe !!
Need a bit of eXtra help on this one.
thinking of changing my currrent account / bank . Hear Nationwide BS is good on the issues above?

Best credit / debit cards?
Never use a debit card abroad. You will get charged everytime and often pay a commision, whereas on a credit card there will be no charge and a better rate of exchange. Choosing a credit card is a personal choice. I would never advise anyone on financial matters, but if you are bringing cash it is better to change 鎷?#039;s into euros before you come abroad. I have heard from friends that Marks %26amp; Spencers give an excellent rate of exchange with no commision.
